Location

An hour and a half from Bern, and two hours north of Geneva, Gstaad has earned a legendary reputation for attracting globetrotting celebrities.

The Ultima Gstaad hotel is only a few metres away from the closest chair lift, which allows guests to hit the slopes each day in a jiffy.

The Gstaad train station is 1 km away.

It takes just 10 minutes to transfer to the airport.

Rooms & Suites

This astonishing boutique hotel features 11 one-to-two-bedroom suites that make for the ideal romantic weekend escape.

There are also six roomy residences that cater to groups.

Every spacious suite has a crackling bronze fireplace which adds a cosy chalet-like atmosphere to the room.

Thick timber walls lined with luxurious fur and wool furnishings define the space, not to mention the plush leather upholstery on its classy sofas.

A giant marble en-suite bathroom can be found in each, all of which contain a bathtub big enough for two and a roomy rain shower.

Guests can peer out over the private balcony for a fantastic panorama of the surrounding mountain range.

As for the residences, each contains two to four rooms which are ideal for families and groups of up to 8 guests.

They also feature a state-of-the-art kitchen alongside a fancy dining space and a comfortable lounge. Glass chandeliers and suave velvet armchairs complete the package.

For those who’d rather not self-cater, a private chef is available to cook up a delicious feast.

Pools & Facilities

Guests of the Ultima Gstaad love taking advantage of its indoor and outdoor Jacuzzi to soothe their aching muscles after a long day at the snow.

As you might expect, the sauna and Turkish style hammam are pretty popular as well.

For the beauty queen, the resort boasts an enormous 800m2 spa.

Facilities include a health bar, a salon, and various treatment centres – all of which are guaranteed to get guests looking their best.

Fitness fanatics who want more exercise than a day’s skiing can take advantage of the onsite gym and indoor pool.

The hotel’s Ultima Gstaad Restaurant serves delicious gourmet meals that go down a treat after a long day on the slopes.

With intimate lighting and a casual atmosphere, its a la carte Italian menu fare is prepared with the finest locally sourced produce.

Light meals and decadent desserts are available throughout the day, while a well-stocked cocktail bar serves creative concoctions courtesy of the specially trained mixologist.

In Winter Ultima Gstaad will surprise you with regular pop-ups from famous brands like Coya.

Guests need only walk a few metres to reach the closest ski lift.

Further afield, there are several hundred kilometres of runs to explore – enough to keep even the most serious alpinist busy for an entire season or more.

The hotel opens on the 12th or 13th of December each year, in line with the official start of the ski season.

Moreover, Ultima Gstaad is open during the summer season due to the many activities in Gstaad, a large demand for detox and wellness retreats, and of course for outdoor activities such as golf, hiking and biking.
