Private Boarding School In The Swiss Alps - Beau Soleil
Details
Founded in 1910 in the scenic Swiss Alps, Collège Alpin International Beau Soleil is one of the oldest private boarding schools in Switzerland as well as one of the most picturesque.
The school welcomes students between 11 and 18 years old from over 40 countries and encourages them to be ambitious each day. The academic programme is available in French – with students sitting the Diplôme National du Brevet and the French Baccalaureate – or in English – with students sitting the IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate.
Students benefit from a small student to teacher ratio (4:1) and from close monitoring of their progress; which helps them develop their skills more efficiently. Careers and university counselling is provided during the senior years and as a result, many students are admitted into prestigious universities in the United Kingdom and the United States.
The wellbeing of students is a very important part of the philosophy of the school and the extra-curricular activities available to students not only help them be emotionally and physically healthy but also teach them invaluable life skills. They can practice a wide variety of sports – making the most of the schools spectacular location – join up to 40 clubs and societies or challenge themselves with unforgettable trips such as the expedition to Mount Kilimanjaro.
Students’ happiness is further guaranteed in the boarding houses thanks to the dedicated resident staff who provide a home away from home experience, allowing students to flourish and form long-lasting friendships in a safe and secure environment.
