The Swiss and International Boarding and Day School Institut Montana Zugerberg is set on a large, 60-acre campus which extends over the picturesque and natural setting of the Zugerberg Mountain at 900m above sea level, right above the city of Zug and less than an hour away from downtown Zurich.
With 380 students from over 56 different countries, the school provides a real international yet familial atmosphere for our pupils. The educational philosophy is focused on respecting and nurturing the individuality of students, while guiding them to a life of responsibility and independence.
This has remained the cornerstone of the teaching methods for more than 90 years and translates into small class sizes (max. 15 students), qualified professionals and personal mentoring that ensures our students reach their full potential, and become well-rounded individuals.
The school offers 4 programmes for students in grades 1-12:
Extra Curricular Activities:
Students can choose to participate in a wide range of activities to complement the core academic curriculum. These go from arts to cultural trips, as well as entrepreneurship programmes, and Model United Nations Simulation.
Their grounds also include a health centre, a gym, fitness rooms, and various sport facilities such as a natural grass football pitch, 4 tennis courts, beach volleyball and basketball courts, and an ice rink.
The boarding students live in single or double rooms in one of the three boarding houses based on their age and gender. For parental peace of mind, all the students are supervised around-the-clock by qualified and dedicated houseparents.
