Location:

Collège du Léman is situated in a nice, green area on the edge of Lake Léman. The campus has full view of the Swiss Alps and it is only a few minutes away from the global city of Geneva.

Overview:

With almost 1,900 students from more than 110 nationalities, the Collège du Léman International School Geneva is Switzerland's largest private K-12 for-profit school.

Since its founding in 1960, this international day and boarding school has built and maintained a remarkable reputation through its comprehensive and bilingual academic programmes covering pre-school, primary and secondary education.

CDL believes that every child has a unique contribution to the world. The Collège du Léman's approach to education enables the students to discover and develop what they enjoy and are good at. This is achieved by combining an exceptional range of educational opportunities with world-class teachers who lead and transform each student.

Classes are taught in both French and English. The CDL students benefit from a wide range of language courses and a truly international environment with daily practice of the new languages.

Academics:

The school offers up to five internationally accredited diplomas: the International Baccalaureate (IBDP), the International Baccalaureate Career Program (IBCP), an American-style High School Diploma with Advanced Internships, the French Bac and the Maturité Suisse.

CDL is also accredited by the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges; a success that few schools in Switzerland can claim.

In 2020, the school achieved a diploma completion rate of 99%. This commitment to excellence leads to placements at top universities around the world, including the US, the UK and Switzerland. As part of the learning community, the school expects students to show growth thinking and become their best possible self through inner motivation, ambition and resilience.

Core Values:

  • Identification and development of each child's strengths.
  • Enabling students to work with anyone, anywhere.
  • Swiss excellence: Building rigour and resilience.

Extracurricular Activities:

Based on this academic foundation, the school offers excellent well-being programs, a wealth of more than 100 extracurricular activities, and collaboration with MIT, the United Nations, and the Juilliard School.

The Collège du Léman is a member of the Nord Anglia Education family of schools, and thus a part of a global campus that includes 68 sister schools from all around the world.

The students have access to pioneering technology and benefit from world-class facilities, including science labs, a respectable library and media center, a multifunctional theater and performing arts rooms.

Accommodation in a dormitory is also remarkable, as students are accommodated in 8 well-equipped villas, where they can feel a safe sense of community.
