Location:
Attendees stay at a four-star Chalet-style lodge in Champéry, a spectacular alpine resort in the French-speaking section of Switzerland. Choose from either private or twin-share rooms, both with daily housekeeping plus weekly laundry and linen change.
A professional in-house chef prepares three delicious and nutritious meals per day, each made fresh with locally sourced ingredients. The chef caters to special dietary requirements, and children dine with their language-learning peers.
Champéry is 50 minutes from Lausanne and one hour and 15 minutes from Geneva.
Sunday arrival and Saturday departure transfers come included in the deal (to and from Geneva Airport).
School Info:
CERAN is an elite language group that teaches children all over the world. With over 40 years of experience in the education sector, its 100-strong team has taught over 150,000 students to date.
Summer Program:
The Ceran Juniors Summer Camp runs for four weeks over July, with participants aged between 12 and 17 years. Students can stay the whole four weeks or opt for a two-week or three-week program instead.
Four intensive language classes (either English or French) occur on Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday—that’s 28 lessons or 21 hours per week. Ten high-tech classrooms host small, intimate groups (an average of 7 and maximum 9 each), allowing students of every level to fine-tune linguistic skills.
If your child needs extra attention, you can add on up to eight one to one sessions per week. All classes have a staff ratio of at least 1:5 and use CERAN’s elite QRI and verb-tonal technique.
Special interest workshops include IT, digital media, leadership, photography, coding, robotics, cooking, and more. An optional language/tennis program combines linguistic learning with in-depth training from a professional coach.
Sports, Arts, Fun Activities and Excursions:
Although there’s a strong focus on learning at the camp, CERAN gives the kids ample opportunity to let their hair down with activities and sports. Nineteen supervised sessions occur per week—you can rest assured your child won’t ever get bored.
At the fully equipped multi-sports centre, group games like basketball, badminton, football, handball, and tennis see participants let off steam. Plus, activities like hiking, biking, canyoning, climbing, and camping give kids the chance to relish in the stunning Swiss scenery.
On excursion days—Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays—the kids scoot off on a guided group tour to explore some of Switzerland’s most exciting locales. Chocolate factory visits put the sweet tooths in heaven, while trips to local theme/water parks guarantee everyone gets a thrill.
There’s even the occasional educational trip—think fun things the participants will actually enjoy like the Olympic Games or Charlie Chaplin museums.
All activities and excursions take place under the watchful eye of qualified staff—safety is the number one priority at CERAN.
