With a maximum camp size of just 40 pupils, the Monte Rosa Winter School fosters a sense of community unlike any other. Students can choose to let loose on one of Switzerland’s top 12 winter resorts, while daily language classes add an element of learning to the programme.

Location:

Monte Rosa is located in Montreux, giving the Winter School easy access to the top ski spots in Switzerland: Morgins,Rochers-de-Naye, Leysin, Ovronnaz, Les Diablerets, Villars, Col-des-Mosses, Champéry, Les Crosets, Verbier, Gstaad, Crans-Montana. Each of these areas boasts spectacular scenery of the awe-inspiring Swiss Alps, as well as enough downhill runs to keep the kids entertained for hours on end.

School Info:

Located on Lake Geneva’s eastern shores, Institut Monte Rosa is an elite co-ed school focusing on personal development and growth. Small class sizes allow teachers to adopt a more personalized approach, while pupils get the chance to hone their social skills in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Flexible learning programmes, 24/7 care, and bespoke teaching practices allow Institut Monte Rosa alumni to succeed academically and in later life.

Winter Program:

The famous Institut Monte Rosa Winter School requires a minimum stay of one week, although parents can extend up to one month if they wish. Students aged from 8 to 19 years old undertake three hours of intensive French or English classes from Monday to Friday and are encouraged to practice their newfound knowledge on their peers. Private lessons are possible on request, and all participants receive a certificate at the conclusion of the course.

It’s not all about classroom hours, however, as Monte Rosa give students plenty of time to seek thrills on the slopes. The programme includes four half days and one full day of skiing per week, plus a whole host of intriguing alpine adventures.

The Winter Camp is available for both day and boarding school pupils, and a maximum of 40 participants are allowed to attend any one camp.
