JTCamp now runs out of the EHL Campus Passugg within the spectacular canton of Graubünden. Swiss Alps superstars like Davos, St Moritz, and Lenzerheide reside nearby, offering limitless opportunities for outdoor recreation. Bad Ragaz famous hotel is also within 20mins.
Accessing the site is simple. EHL Campus Passugg is 1.5 hours from Zurich Airport and 15 minutes from the Chur Train Station. JTCamps can organize private or shared transfers from various destinations.
JTCamp has been running its widely popular Swiss summer programme for over 55 years. At the end of each season, attendee feedback helps enhance the enjoyment of future camps; it’s an evolving project that only gets better with time.
The language programme provides 12 hours of English, French, German, or Spanish classes per week, ranging from beginner to advanced levels. Participants of up to 25 nationalities attend each year, giving campers the chance to practice linguistic skills in a real-world setting.
Small class sizes and personalised tuition are core concepts of the programme. A generous student-teacher ratio of 1:5 ensures every child receives adequate attention, and groups of eight or less give the kids ample chance to mingle and form new friendships.
Your child won’t be roughing it. Accommodation in twin rooms (singles also available) plus daily housekeeping and outstanding service make for a comfortable stay. Supervision and security operate 24/7 to ensure every child is safe and sound.
As you’d expect from a prestigious hospitality institute, the gastronomy on campus is second to none. The veteran head chef prepares a well-balanced menu each day that’s both nutritious and delicious. Lakeside barbeques, buffet breakfasts, and big baskets of locally sourced fruit come part of the experience. Special dietary requirements are catered for on request.
Summer Programme (postponed for 2022):
Multiple JTCamp programmes run throughout the summer—choose one-week, three-week, or epic 42-day stints.
Mondays to Tuesday and Thursday to Saturday follow the standard summer camp schedule: language classes in the morning, outdoor activities in the afternoon, and fun-filled social games in the evening. On Wednesday, participants embark on an exciting excursion to a nearby attraction.
Each weekly trip is unique, and happy campers get to decide their destination—think hiking through the Alps or water sports on glacial lakes.
Sunday is for sleeping in. Lazy barbeques by the lake and casual big-group orienteering games give participants the chance to rest and revive for the week to come.
Sports, Arts, Fun Activities and Excursions
JTCamp’s enviable location in one of the most scenic sections of the Swiss Alps affords campers ample opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors. A wide range of activities is available to take advantage of the terrain, including llama hiking, tobogganing, downhill cycling, cable car rides, village visits, and more.
Cooking, table etiquette, and food culture classes give insight into Swiss fine culinary traditions. There’s even a chance to visit a working chocolate factory—the memorable trip is a highlight for every chocoholic.
